The Festival Committee organises a Fun Run every September, inviting runners on our 5mile, 10mile and 1 mile children’s routes around the village.
Our Fun Run is a country-lane-based starting from the village green at Colne Engaine. The course takes you on a figure of 8 for the 5 mile run and if you’re running 10 miles then you’ll do the same figure of 8 twice. The end of the run is a downhill dash, finishing with a sprint along Pebmarsh Road and back onto the village green to the sound of a roaring crowd! Finish up with a free bacon butty and cake.
The first Fun Run was held in 2015. Profits from the Fun Run all go towards running the Festival, which in turn raises funds for local good causes.
